One of the most cost-effective public health interventions is Family Planning as it can significantly improve the health of women by empowering them to decide when to have a child. Through Family Planning, maternal mortality is reduced and child health and survival is improved. Family Planning also improves women's life options.
Who is eligible?
Family Planning Services are available for women and men of childbearing age. The Family Planning Program provides information and a means to achieve child-spacing and family size.
Services Provided
- complete medical history
- education
- physical exams
- pap smears
- breast checks
- limited blood work
- testing for sexually transmitted diseases
- birth control methods and counseling
Clinic Hours
Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Fees
Fees are based on patient's ability to pay (sliding fee scale). Medicaid and private insurance are also accepted.
