ANIMAL SHELTER ADOPTIONS - your "furever" friends

Do you want to have a pet of your own to share good times with?  Come to our Animal Shelter to find a forever friend that best suits you, your home and your family.  Adopt a shelter pet and make him/her a part of your everyday life.  These animals are currently available for adoption.

Bear     Buster Princess 3 Copy

Barney 3

Before you adopt, there are a few things that you should consider such as:

  • If you have other pets at home already, will they get along with a new pet?
  • Is anyone in your household allergic to animals?
  • How will an animal change your lifestyle?  Be sure to select a pet that fits your schedule and exercise routine.

We cannot always answer specific questions regarding the pet's personality; however, we will do our very best to provide you with all of the information we have.

We are delighted that you are interested in one of the animals in our care.  Please call 252-534-1125 if you are interested in any of these wonderful animals or visit our Animal Shelter Facebook page.

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Do you have a few minutes to spare? Volunteering for Home Delivered Meals is a great way to make a huge impact in a short amount of time for the homebound senior citizens of our county.  It is a great opportunity to deliver nutritious food and bring a little sunshine to their day.  Northampton County Health Department is looking for volunteers to deliver meals.  Without the help of your compassion and dedication, we will be unable to serve these deserving homebound seniors.  If you are interested, please call Nancy Harrell at the Northampton County Health Department at 534-5841 ext 617.
