The Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) provides  breast and cervical screening, referral and follow-up to Northampton County female residents who meet the following criteria:

• Women who are at or below 250% of the Federal poverty level, uninsured, underinsured, and do not have Medicare Part B or Medicaid insurance.  Special emphasis is placed on recruiting minority women ages 40-64 years.  BCCCP clinics are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Please call 252-534-5841 for appointment.

• The Wise Woman Program is for BCCCP participants age 40-64.  The aim of this program is to help women reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke through screenings, education, and referrals.  BCCCP clients who wish to participate in Wise Woman are enrolled during their BCCCP visit.  Cardio vascular education is provided on 3rd Tuesday at the Gaston trailer site and 3rd Thursday at the Health Department.
